What’s New at Equip

This month, we’re making it easier for teams to reduce administrative work, track meaningful progress, and stay focused on what matters most—supporting participants.

We’ve officially launched expanded services, a major step forward in how Equip supports both providers and the individuals they serve—bringing more flexibility, deeper insight, and stronger outcomes.

Alongside this, we’ve introduced several updates designed to simplify workflows and better connect daily activity to real progress:

  • Form Response Restrictions
Ensure the right people have access to the right information. Control who can view form responses by role—protecting sensitive data while keeping teams focused and participants supported.
  • Availability-Only Calendar View
Quickly see who’s available without the noise. This new view removes classes and events, making scheduling faster, clearer, and less time-consuming.
  • Batch Actions on Participants
Spend less time on repetitive tasks. Make updates across multiple participants at once—from assigning supporters to updating groups—so your team can focus more on support, not clicks.
  • Routines as Goal Waypoints
Turn everyday actions into measurable progress. When routines are completed, goals update automatically—helping participants see their growth and stay engaged in their journey.
  • Multi-File Support for Documents
Keep everything in one place. Attach multiple files to a single document to better organize information and reduce time spent searching for what you need.

From the Field

High-touch, person-centered support shouldn’t come at the cost of team capacity—but for many teams, it still does.

As we work alongside programs across the country, we’re seeing a consistent tension: teams want to deliver individualized, meaningful support, but are often slowed down by fragmented systems, manual processes, and limited visibility into real progress.

What’s becoming clear is this: the difference isn’t effort—it’s how support is structured and tracked.

Here are a few patterns we’re seeing from teams making that shift successfully:

1. Progress is built into daily activity—not added after the fact

Instead of documenting after sessions, leading teams are capturing progress as it happens. This reduces duplicate work and ensures that what’s being tracked actually reflects real participant experiences—not just end-of-day summaries.

2. Independence is measured in real-world outcomes, not just program completion

There’s a growing shift away from “Did they finish the task?” to “Can they apply this skill outside the program?” The most effective teams are designing support that translates directly into everyday environments—where independence actually matters.

3. Continuity matters more than intensity

Support doesn’t need to be constant to be effective—but it does need to be consistent. Teams seeing the strongest outcomes are creating systems where progress carries across staff, settings, and time—so participants aren’t starting over each day.

4. Admin efficiency directly impacts participant experience

When teams spend less time navigating systems and more time engaging with participants, the difference is tangible. Reduced admin burden isn’t just an operational win—it directly improves the quality and consistency of support.

These shifts aren’t about doing more—they’re about doing things differently.

Community Spotlight

This month, we’re highlighting our work with North Dakota State University’s Transition and Access Program (TAP).

TAP is doing incredible work helping participants build independence, confidence, and real-world skills that extend far beyond structured environments. Their team is intentional about creating experiences that translate into meaningful, everyday outcomes—from skill development to increased self-direction.

We’ve loved working alongside their team, especially in how they connect services, track progress, and continuously evolve their approach to better support each individual.

Programs like TAP are a powerful example of what it looks like to stay truly person-centered while scaling impact—and exactly the kind of work Equip is built to support.

Looking Ahead

With expanded services and continued product improvements, Equip is focused on reducing administrative burden for teams while empowering participants to take a more active role in their own progress and outcomes.

By streamlining workflows behind the scenes, providers can spend less time on paperwork and more time supporting person-centered goals, independence, and meaningful growth.

We’re excited about what’s ahead—and we’re just getting started.

If you’d like to see these updates in action, we’d be happy to connect.
