What’s New at Equip

This month, we’re making Pathways more connected and easier to manage, giving teams a clearer view of participant progress, service delivery, and outcomes in one place.

A More Centralized Pathway Experience

Pathways now bring more of a participant’s work together in one place.

From a participant’s pathway progress page, staff can review overall progress, follow the step timeline, and see related activity without having to piece together information from across Equip.

Goals, forms, assessments, notes, and documents can also be connected to the relevant pathway and pathway step. This creates a more complete record of the work happening throughout a participant’s journey and makes it easier to understand not just what was completed, but the work and progress behind it.

Clearer Pathway Progress & Discharge Workflows

Teams now have more flexibility when services change or come to an end.

Individual pathway steps can be discharged with a discharge date, reason, and notes, helping teams clearly distinguish between work that was completed and services that were discontinued or otherwise ended.

Pathway enrollments can also be intentionally closed, and teams managing larger caseloads can discharge multiple eligible pathway progresses at once using new bulk actions.

Together, these updates provide a clearer picture of how a participant moved through a pathway, including both completed services and services that ended before completion.

More Powerful Pathway Reporting

Pathway reporting has expanded to make it easier to answer more specific questions about services and outcomes.

New and improved reporting options include filters and data for step status, closed and discharge dates, discharge reasons, dispositions, groups, pathways, and individual pathway steps.

We’ve also improved reporting for forms connected to Pathways. When you filter form responses or summaries by pathway or pathway step, exports now more accurately reflect those selections.

Pathway Documentation & Invoicing Improvements

We’ve made several additional improvements to keep pathway-related work connected.

Documents generated from pathway-linked form responses now retain that pathway connection, helping documentation appear in the right context.

For organizations using pathway authorization invoicing, invoices can also be generated directly from a participant’s pathway pages. We’ve made additional improvements to invoice numbering, PDFs, and the overall invoice experience to make billing workflows smoother.

The New Mobile Experience Is Almost Here 📱

The new Equip mobile experience is right around the corner!

We’re expanding what team members and participants can do from their mobile devices, making it easier to stay connected to the information, tools, and support they need throughout the day.

As we prepare for the transition, organizations should take a few minutes to review their team members’ roles and permissions. Because the new mobile experience gives staff access to more of Equip, having the right permissions in place will help ensure everyone sees exactly what they need.

We’ll be sharing more details soon about transitioning your organization to the new experience. Beginning January 1, all Equip users will use the new mobile app.

Community Spotlight

Lipscomb University IDEAL

As students head back to campus this fall, we’re excited to spotlight Lipscomb University’s IDEAL Program in Nashville, Tennessee.

IDEAL, which stands for Igniting the Dream of Education and Access at Lipscomb, is designed to give students with intellectual disabilities an inclusive college experience while preparing them for greater independence.

Students learn alongside their peers, participate in campus life, build friendships, develop workplace skills through internships and employment, and gain experiences that prepare them for their next steps personally and professionally. IDEAL offers a two-year certificate program, with an opportunity for students to continue into a third- and fourth-year Advanced Program focused on applying their skills through coursework, paid employment, and independent living experiences.

As another school year begins, we’re proud to have the IDEAL team as part of the Equip community and excited to see all that their students accomplish this year!
