Innovation In Action
Exploring how Equip’s advancements shape a smarter, more empowered future.
New This Month
⬜ Custom Fields
Your programs are unique. Your data should be too.
Custom Fields allow organizations to capture information specific to their workflows—without workarounds or side spreadsheets.
This gives teams:
Greater flexibility in tracking what matters most
Cleaner, centralized documentation
Better alignment between process and reporting
Equip adapts to your program—not the other way around.
⬜ Date Picker for Discharge Reasons
Entering historical data or catching up after a busy week just got easier.
You can now select a specific date when recording a discharge reason—ensuring documentation reflects when changes actually occurred.
Why it matters:
Supports accurate historical records
Reduces backdating confusion
Makes catch-up entry more precise and efficient
Small detail. Big difference for clean documentation.
⬜ Improved Form View & Navigation Access
Forms are now easier to access and easier to manage.
Users can now access the Forms Library directly from the navigation, improving visibility and reducing clicks for the forms teams use most.
The result:
Faster access
Clearer organization
Less friction in daily workflows
When tools are easier to find, they’re easier to use consistently.
⬜ Reporting Improvements
Better filtering leads to faster, more confident decisions.
Two important updates this month:
1. Date Filter on the Supervisor Details Report Filter by date range to review supervisors who supported a participant’s employment during a specific time frame.
2. Status Filter on the Pathways Demographics Report View what’s In Progress versus Completed with a simple filter—no exporting or manual sorting required.
✨ Better filters mean better insight—without extra work.

Empowering Independence
Building confidence, how Equip supports independence every day.
Supporting Self Advocacy
Supporting stronger decision-making and self-advocacy.
Independence isn’t just about completing tasks—it’s about learning how to make informed choices.
Equip supports that growth by giving individuals access to their own goals, routines, and progress in a structured, visual way.
When individuals can:
See what they’re working toward
Understand expectations clearly
Track what’s completed and what’s next
Participate in reviewing their own progress
They begin to build real-world decision-making skills.
Encouraging Self-Advocacy Through Visibility
When information is centralized and easy to understand, individuals are better prepared to:
Ask questions about their goals
Communicate needs with supervisors or supporters
Reflect on challenges
Take initiative in completing routines
Instead of support happening around them, support begins happening with them.
✨ Independence grows when individuals move from being supported to being involved.

Effective tools and insights to simplify your role and maximize impact.
Supporter Story: A System That Grows With You
“Our university office currently supports 75 students in three different, all for-credit programs. Our team is 10 paid employees and as many interns as we can get. Equip is a lifesaver.”
— Ashleah "Bob" Summers, UMSL OIPE
When Bob first demoed Equip in spring 2024, she was immediately drawn to its centralization.
Before Equip:
Files lived in Google Drive and OneDrive
Important notes were scattered across emails and personal apps
Processes required constant manual coordination
Equip centralized everything into one system.
By August 2024, accounts were set up. A pilot launched in October. By January 2025, they were fully live.
“It’s been a year,” Bob shared—and the growth hasn’t stopped.
What started as centralization has evolved into continuous improvement.
“Every three months, Equip is brand new.”
From the Employers section to Goals, Role flexibility, and family access, enhancements have consistently arrived at the right time.
But what stands out most is responsiveness.
“This tiny team of two cares SO MUCH. I don’t think any of my suggestions have been discarded. All of my teammates’ questions have been solved within a week.”
Micro-improvements add up.
Direct collaboration builds trust.
Shared systems create long-term sustainability.
And that’s what Support Simplified looks like.
